The Ukrainian company’s widely praised 1/48 new-tool OV-10A is repackaged with fresh US Navy decals.
If ever a type was begging to be replicated in scale form via a modern 1/48 tooling it was the OV-10 Bronco. Ukraine’s ICM managed this with aplomb last year, with a kit that oozed fine detail and provided a generous stores election (and which was also released with other parts to represent the OV-10D). Now the ‘A’ tooling returns in a new box (48304) with fresh decals for four US Navy airframes.
The schemes are for examples in Camouflage Green over white (including orange high-vis panels on one machine), plus either black or dark blue topside paint. The airframes are:
• BuNo 155470/8/RA, VS-41 ‘Shamrocks’, Naval Air Station North Island, 1969
• BuNo 155470/8/RA, VS-41 ‘Shamrocks’, Naval Air Station North Island, 1971
• BuNo 155473/09/RA, VS-41 ‘Shamrocks, Naval Air Station North Island, 1971
• BuNo 155480/480, Naval Air Test Center, Patuxent River, Maryland, early 1980s

Quality offering
The detail is plentiful and this boxing also offers alternative rear instrument panels. Many features are moulded in the busy cockpits, with the seats being multi-part items. Separate flaps and control surfaces are also provided, plus various bombs, rocket pods and napalm tanks. This kit costs £39.80 via UK importer Hannants.
