ITALERI REISSUES 1/48 HURRICANE IIC

Stemming from its 1/48 Mk.I launched in 2011, Italeri’s Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIc has been re-released with fresh decals for six different airframes. CHRIS CLIFFORD offers a full review.

ITALERI REISSUES 1/48 HURRICANE IIC

While not perfect – as 1/48 Hurricanes go – Italeri’s own tooling is reasonably good so its reappearance will be welcomed by fans of the type. This reissue (item 2828) is moulded in medium-grey styrene, with the parts coming on four solid runners and one clear frame. A small photo-etched (PE) brass fret is also supplied, this holding seatbelts, an instrument panel top layer, exhaust anti-dazzle guards, an intake grille and various surface panels.
