The Italian firm has re-released its original 1/72 Caproni Ca.313/314 from 1972 in limited-edition format, to mark the kit manufacturer’s 60th anniversary. CHRIS CLIFFORD reports.
If you’re a die-hard Italian World War Two aviation fan you’ll almost certainly recognise the wealth of relevant kit choice from Italeri. It should be the first port of call for anyone wanting to explore the subject, via Italeri’s own kits and its re-releases of Supermodel products. Italeri celebrated 60 years of kit making throughout 2022 by re-releasing various classic items on a limited basis, and one of those was the 1/72 Caproni Ca.313/314 reconnaissance bomber. This, an original Italeri item (No 106), is certainly a product of its time… but it’s reasonable for its age and skilled modellers can improve it. And it’s the only styrene replica of the type, the parts being provided on three runners (two grey, one clear).
