D6593 entered service in 1962 on British Rail’s (BR) Southern Region and was allocated to Hither Green, Eastleigh and Stewarts Lane depots during its BR service. In late 1973 it was renumbered 33208, a number it carried for the remainder of its career until preservation beckoned in 1997. It was a regular headliner on main line railtours – and service trains – in the late 1990s through to the early 2010s. Today it is located on the Battlefield Line heritage railway in Leicestershire.

KMRC’s exclusive 'OO' gauge model represents the prototype in its as-preserved condition in BR green with small yellow warning panels and high-intensity headlights. It will bear the hallmarks of previous Heljan Class 33/2 models together with 21-pin Digital Command Control (DCC) decoder socket and LED lighting.

Priced at £209.95 DCC ready, orders can be placed now.
