AFTERMARKET DECAL supplier Kits-World has revealed an innovative solution for adding refinement to model aircraft interiors in the form of its 3D-Relief markings.
These remove the need for detail painting, cutting/shaping of the kit decals or the use of individual aftermarket items, by providing various interior elements as waterslide transfers with raised relief, gloss dial faces and incredibly fine printing.
Its latest releases provide for 1/32 and 1/48 aircraft, with Martin-Baker ejection seat sets for RAF Tornados (KW3D132020 and KW3D148004, for the respective scales) and USAF/USN F-4 Phantoms (KW3D132018 and KW3D148006). These include a full complement of seat pads, harnesses, leg/arm restraints and firing handles, with a variety of colour options and spare items supplied.
The manufacturer recommends avoiding the use of setting solutions plus using non-metal tools to manoeuvre the decals, and suggests the markings be protected with gloss varnish before any weathering is applied.
