Commissioned from Dapol, this latest addition to the range is finished in the plain black livery of Surrey coal and coke merchant T. Meakins & Son of Dorking (Cat No. K7073) and carries the number 5.

Established in the town in the late 1870s, the merchant received coal and coke through the nearby station yards and later took delivery of eight 10ton seven plank wagons from Gloucester Wagon and Carriage Company at the turn of the century, finished in black with white lettering.

KMRC’s new wagon is based on Dapol’s 1887 RCH specification ‘O’ gauge wagon and features a 9ft die-cast chassis, compensation beam, spoked wheels and sprung metal buffers.

Priced at £56.95 each, it is available to order now.
