Its official - Making Tracks 4 joins the Great Electric Train Show

Pete Waterman’s Making Tracks 4 featuring Watford Junction is heading to the Great Electric Train Show for its only appearance in the South of England in 2024.

Making Tracks 4 joins the Great Electric Train Show.

The 64ft layout which models Bushey Viaduct, Watford Junction, Watford Tunnel and Roade Cutting is being developed by the Railnuts through the summer to feature the flats which stand to the east of the station ahead of the Great Electric Train Show, where the layout will take centre stage alongside a stellar line-up of stunning models.

Pete Waterman said: “We are continuing to build Making Tracks 4 all summer as we want to model beyond the railway including the 20-storey flats which are currently going in behind Watford Junction station. We will always have something new on the layout each time it is seen.”

In total, up to 30 layouts will be taking part in the event – which is sponsored by Accurascale, Heljan, TMC and West Hill Wagon Works. More than 50 traders will take part, while demonstrators will be on hand throughout the weekend showcasing modelling techniques.

Highlights include Redbridge Wharf by Winchester Railway Modellers (HM201), Charwelton into the ‘80s by the CBM Diesel Group, Fairwood Junction by Steve Jones (HM204), Millsbridge by Huddersfield Railway Modellers (HM206), Dalziel North by Roddy Newbigging (HM201) and modular ‘OO9’ layout Devonmoor by the Dartmoor Model Railway Group. The full list announced so far is available on the Great Electric Train Show website.
