BASIC BUILD
GIANT OF THE SKY
Paul Cawte builds Mark I Models’ 1/720 R33 Airship –a craft that evolved from a weapon of war and marked the golden era of inter-war aviation, when such vessels appeared to be the future for commercial travel.

The story of Britain’s R33/34 airships began on the night of September 23/24, 1916 when Germany’s Zeppelin L33 was brought down virtually intact by anti-aircraft fire near the village of Little Wigborough, Essex.
