Modelu3D is launching a brand-new collection of RAF laser-scanned figures at Model World LIVE 2024 on April 27/28 which have been created specially by the 3D printing specialist with the support of Jed Jeggard from Up An At Em History - the author of Key Publishing's RAF Kit Through the Ages book.

The new range expands the companies offering of figures for scale modelling alongside its current First and Second World War collections featuring British and American armed forces.

The RAF collection features period correct uniforms and a range of figures which will be available scales including 1/144, 1/72, 1/48, 1/35 and beyond. Figures within the RAF sets include Battle of Britain ground crew and pilots, D-Day ground crew and pilots as well as the Flying Nightingales nurses which flew Dakota aircraft to treat and repatriate wounded military personnel.

To top this off, Modelu is also working with Liz 'Chinook Chick' to create a Chinook crew to coincide with the release of the new Airfix 1/72 scale Boeing Chinook HC.1.

Throughout the weekend Modelu3D will be offering laser-scanning to visitors with prices starting from £49 for adults. This allows unique scans to be created so that you can be turned into scale figure to add to your model railway, scale model or diorama. Uniforms for the RAF will be available through Up An At Em History while Modelu will also have its collection of footplate gear covering the steam era to the present day.

During the weekend a competition will be operating through the Key Model World stand to be entered into a prize draw to win a free scan at the show each morning and afternoon. Visit the Key Model World stand to enter the competition and you could be scanned as a Spitfire pilot or steam locomotive driver by Modelu3D as well as receiving a 1/72 or 1/76 scale figure to suit your genre of modelling.
