Dapol is upgrading its 'N' gauge Class 43 High Speed Train (HST) power car tooling to reflect the latest modification made to the prototypes.
As with the real thing, Dapol's tooling revisions incorporate the new high-intensity headlight mounted on the cab roof of modified power cars, such as those used for Locomotive Services' ‘Midland Pullman’, enabling Dapol to issue a full 11-car HST set in the striking colour scheme for the first time.
Bearing the hallmarks of previous releases, Dapol's 'N' gauge HST power cars feature a finely detailed body, five-pole motor, all-wheel drive and directional lights.
In addition to the 'Midland Pullman', Dapol has also added further releases to the schedule with standard HST packs in BR blue and grey, InterCity ‘Swallow’, Midland Mainline and CrossCountry colour schemes, plus two buffer-fitted HST power car packs in Grand Central and Virgin Trains colours.
Prices are set at £230 for the standard HST packs, £170 for buffer-fitted Grand Central and Virgin Trains packs and £495 for the full 11-car ‘Midland Pullman’.
