Richard will be a familiar face to online followers from his New Junction channel. He joins the Hornby Magazine team as Associate Editor to create a brand-new line of model railway video content.
HELLO New Junction AND WELCOME is how most to people would expect me to start my introduction. For those that don’t recognise me, I run the YouTube Model Railway channel ‘New Junction’ and now I’m living the dream of working with model railways as Hornby Magazine’s latest recruit.
Like most people the hobby was passed onto me from family members, in particular my uncle who has a loft-based layout. When I was knee high, I used to pester him to go into the loft to run the railway. In fact, as I write this my cup of coffee is sat on a coaster which is a photograph of me in that same loft looking far too happy with myself! Now I’m all grown up when I visit my uncle and aunt’s house, they barely get a ‘Hello’ as I go straight upstairs, yep you guessed it, to the loft!
