The Czech company has provided KMW with samples of various new masking sets for 1/48 aircraft, and a lone 1/32 subject. Here’s what’s now available…
If there’s one labour that’s eased substantially with aftermarket help, it’s that of masking canopies and wheels – especially for heavily framed glazing. ASK Distribution’s range of self-adhesive, pre-cut tape masks is blossoming exponentially and its latest raft of items will help modellers of 1/48 and 1/32 aircraft no end. The fresh items are:
48010 Hawker Hunter F.6 (Airfix) €8.40
48056 Bell AH-1G (Special Hobby) €6.70
48065 Walrus Mk.I (Airfix) €8.40
48113 Avro Anson Mk.I (Airfix) €14
48115 Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 (Tamiya) €8.40
48119 Rafale C (Academy, Revell) €11
48120 J2M3 Raiden (Hasegawa) €8.40
48122 Ki-44 Hei Shoki (Hasegawa) €8.40

48126 Ki-43-I Hayabusa (Hasegawa) €7.60
48132 Mi-17 Hip (AMK) €11.90
The lone 1/32 item is 32058 Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIb, for Revell’s new tooling (€12.30)
Usefully, all these sets are ‘double-sided’, in that they provide masking for inside and outside the glazing, so you can ensure more depth and realism. They are available direct from ASK Distribution, but also in the UK via Hannants.
