Rapido Trains UK has announced details of a second production batch of its recent ‘OO’ gauge Hunslet 16in 0-6-0STs.
This next tranche of models is due to include 2705 Beatrice in lined green, as preserved at the Embsay and Bolton Abbey steam railway (Cat No. 903013), 1983 Clement in NCB Brodsworth Colliery black with yellow stripes (903014), 3855 Glasshoughton No. 4 with stove chimney in Glasshoughton Colliery lined green (903015), 2375 John Shaw in NCB South Kirby Colliery lined green (903016) and 3715 Primrose No. 2 with stovepipe chimney in NCB red, as preserved at the Embsay and Bolton Abbey steam railway in the 1970s (903017).
Bearing the hallmarks of the initial batch of models, prices are set at £129.95 DCC ready and £229.95 DCC sound-fitted. Release is expected in late 2023.
Rapido Trains UK has also added three further GWR wagons to its release plans with a Diagram X6 ‘Mica A’ finished as 95656 in GWR grey with 25in lettering (944029), Diagram V17 ‘Mink A’ 35601 in WD grey (944028), Rhymney Railway Type 4 (GWR V16) 564 in Rhymney Railway grey (944037) and a Diagram O11 GWR five-plank open in WD grey finished as 21110 (943026), to complement the Dia. V17 ‘Mink A’.
Priced at £32.95 each, the new wagons are expected in late 2023/early 2024.
