If you have ideas for dioramas bubbling away in your mind, AMMO’s new groundwork mediums could further fuel your inspiration. Part of the Vignettes Acrylic range, these textured pastes help to replicate different forms of terra firma and have wide and varied applications due to the products available.

The fresh items sent to Key Model World are:

•    A.MIG-2150 Vignettes Acrylic MUD Arid Dry Ground
•    A.MIG-2153 Vignettes Acrylic MUD Turned Earth Ground
•    A.MIG-2156 Vignettes Acrylic SAND Sand Ground

All are priced 3.50 €, come in 100ml bottles and provide a natural and realistic texture to depict sand/soil in different states. Ideal for many types of scenic modelling, and could even be useful in the weathering of military/construction vehicles given experimentation.

Now to the glue, which is rather novel. Night Blue (A.MIG-2045) and Red Magma (A.MIG-2046) Cements are, funnily enough, deeply blue and blood red respectively. None of that wishy-washy clear stuff here!

It’ll be helpful in that once dry, you'll see exactly where the cement has been applied, highlighting joins or other areas that need more adhesive or later, sanding… no colour left, neat surface. The in-the-lid brush is beautifully thin, meaning more accurate application too. You’ll definitely want a window open though as it is strong-smelling stuff. These are both usually 3.95 € each.
