New identities for Sonic '56XX'

'N' gauge newcomer Sonic Models is offering additional liveries and new numbers on its first ready-to-run locomotive for the scale - the GWR '56XX' 0-6-2T. The new versions, plus the original previously announced batch, are available to order from Revolution Trains and Rails of Sheffield.

Production has started and it is anticipated that the models will arrive in the UK during the summer. The six new variants include three new identities for existing liveries and three all-new versions. The new liveries include GWR unlined green with 'shirt-button' crests, as used from the mid-1930s until the Second World War, GWR unlined green with GWR 'austerity' block style lettering as applied in wartime. There will also be a BR unlined black version with BRITISH RAILWAYS lettering from the early years of nationalisation. Additional numbers are being offered on the BR lined green with late crest, BR unlined black with early emblem and GWR unlined green with GREAT WESTERN lettering colour schemes.

The manufacturer has set the price at £109.95 per model. All new and existing orders will be fulfilled by Rails of Sheffield once production has been completed and they are in the UK.
