New layouts join the Great Electric Train Show

The latest additions to the guest list for the 2024 Great Electric Train Show have been revealed with layouts from Scotland to Devon joining the line-up for the event on October 12/13 at the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes.

New to the line up are Dartmoor Model Railway Group’s modular Devonmoor ‘OO9’ scene with a huge 32ft x 12ft network of narrow gauge modelling, Dalziel North travelling from Scotland by Roddy Newbigging (HM201), Alston in ‘N’ gauge by Peter Brown (HM204), Greg Marshall’s Ebsworth Street (feature coming next issue) and Aaron Smith’s Illie Town modern image depot in ‘OO’ gauge.

These new additions join Winchester Railway Modellers’ Redbridge Wharf (HM201), Steve Jones’ Fairwood Junction (HM205), Charwelton into the ‘80s by the CBM Diesel Group and more. The full layout roster revealed to date is available on the Great Electric Train Show website.

In addition, more than 50 traders have lined up for the event offering everything from the latest rolling stock to kits, accessories, tools and more. Manufacturer stands confirmed for the 2024 show include Accurascale, Cavalex Models, Heljan, Hornby, KR Models and Revolution Trains.

Advance tickets are available now open offering a discount over on-the-day prices – as well as early entry to the show from 9.30am each day. Advance ticket prices are £16 for adults (£14 for subscribers), £9 for children (Saturday only) and £50 for the popular VIP ticket which includes two-day entry to the show, £25 of Key Publishing magazines, access to the VIP lounge and more.

On-the-day ticket prices will be £20 for adults and £10 for children. On Sunday up to two children will be admitted free with each paying adult at the show.
