VIDEO: Oxford Rail 'N7' 0-6-2T with Zimo sound

In the HM151 we showed how to install digital sound in Oxford Rail's 'OO' gauge 'N7' 0-6-2T using a Zimo MX648R decoder and a sugar cube speaker.

Our project uses the latest BR liveried version of the Hill 'N7' 0-6-2T from Oxford Rail. Space is at a premium inside this chunky tank engine, but there is space for a decoder in the bunker and, with a little modification, a sugar cube speaker between the frames hidden out of sight. All this locomotive really needs now is weathering, a crew and suitable headcode discs to prepare it for service on a Liverpool Street 'Jazz Train'. It will join a Hornby 'J15' 0-6-0 in our Great Eastern section roster as well as a 'D16' 4-4-0 and 'B12' 4-6-0 which are awaiting sound installations.
