VIDEO: Making Tracks: The Final Frontier

Pete Waterman and the Railnuts are planning a massive expansion of Making Tracks for the brand-new Key Publishing Model World LIVE event on April 27/28 2024. We meet with Pete to find out more about this bold plan.

MAKING TRACKS is set to become the centrepiece at the first Model World LIVE show at the NEC in Birmingham on April 27/28 2024. The brand-new modelling show combines rail and scale modelling and will be located in Hall 17.

Pete Waterman's Making Tracks is heading for a new record size in 2024 at Model World LIVE.

Pete Waterman and the Railnuts are taking on a brand-new challenge to expand Making Tracks to 208ft x 14ft, and featuring over 240ft of scenery in 'OO' gauge.

The expanded layout will feature Making Tracks 1, 2 and 3 with the addition of Blisworth - where only two tracks will be visible - to the north of Milton Keynes followed by the addition of Watford Junction and Bushey stations to complete the expansion plan.

Making Tracks is one of 30 layouts taking part in Model World LIVE alongside more than 400ft of quality scale modelling displays. Trade stands for rail and scale modellers have been confirmed including manufacturer stands from Accurascale, Revolution Trains and more. View the latest trade list here.

Discount advance tickets offering a saving over on the door prices and early entry to the show from 9.30am each day are available now from the Model World LIVE tickets page starting at £16 for adults (£14 for Hornby Magazine and Airfix Model World subscribers).
