Rails' ROG exclusive

Rails of Sheffield has commissioned an exclusive ‘OO’ gauge Class 47 diesel from Bachmann, finished as 47812 in Rail Operations Group's eye-catching livery.

Established in 2014, Rail Operations Group (ROG) is based in Derby and specialises in the movement of rolling stock for the rail industry, as well as providing locomotives for spot hire and charter services.

Utilising Bachmann’s latest tooling for the Class 47, this particular model will feature plated headcode panels and sealed beam marker lights at the No. 2 end, Serck radiator grilles, blanked roof boiler port, single arm windscreen wipers, cut-cab, multiple operation jumpers, NRN aerials, high-intensity headlights and slow speed speedo drive at the No. 2 end.

The specification also includes a five-pole twin-shaft motor, two flywheels, all-wheel drive, all-wheel pick-up and PluX22 Digital Command Control (DCC) decoder socket.

Rails of Sheffield’s exclusive new Class 47 will be available in DCC ready, DCC sound-fitted and DCC sound-fitted deluxe forms, priced at £239.95, £339.95 and £369.95 respectively. Delivery is expected during September.
