Rapido Trains UK is conducting a precautionary product recall of its ‘OO’ Gauge LNER dynamometer cars.
The affected models are all from the latest batch of models to be released – Cat No. 935001, 935002, 935003, 935004. All previous models of the LNER dynamometer cars are unaffected.
The company reports that issues have been identified with some of the onboard electrical components which can, in some cases, cause lighting circuits to overheat and burn out. In rare and extreme cases this is causing damage to the roofs of the models.
Rapido Trains UK is asking that all owners of these models ensure that power is not applied to them. Please contact Rapido Trains UK to arrange for your model to be returned for repair. Rapido are currently speaking with their factory to arrange the construction of new electrical components and it is hoped that these can be completed soon.
