TIM SHACKLETON brings a little colour into our lives by imagining what a DB Cargo Class 68 might look like.

Above: DB Cargo has never had any Class 68s, but the red livery suits them admirably and forms an ideal way of demonstrating how to redo a model’s colour scheme. For me, this fantasy is the continuation of a long tradition – with teenage impetuosity I repainted my Hornby Dublo Duchess of Montrose in BR blue with a yellow front end, something I’ve regretted ever since!
