Eduard has re-released its 1/48 P-39Q Airacobra as a new Weekend Edition boxing. Ready for some snake charming?
The Airacobra is an extensive subject for Czech firm Eduard… it has released many 1/48 boxings in different formats, some with aftermarket additions. Here, the company’s tooling for the P-39Q has now made it into a Weekend Edition box, but where these kits used to offer just one colour scheme, Eduard’s recent growing generosity means decals for four individual liveries are provided.
Despite its age, this tooling still offers many plus points such as fine engraving, a respectably detailed cockpit, bombs and fuel tanks, alternative gun muzzles, and separate cockpit doors. And due to the wallet-friendly price of just £10.02 from Eduard direct (yes, really), you could also add PE detail for the ‘office’ and still make this a highly cost-effective project.
