As CHRIS CLIFFORD discovers, Revell’s dazzling new 1/32 Airbus H145 air ambulance is packed with detail.
Whether you favour emergency aircraft, rotary-wing subjects in general, or are just looking for something different – Revell’s new Airbus H145 ADAC Luftrettung (air rescue) is a large-scale gem. It’s evolved from the kit-maker’s original Eurocopter EC145, first released 18 years ago and since then, multiple boxings have appeared. They’ve also been adapted to replicate the products of Airbus Helicopters after its takeover of Eurocopter. This mainly involved an enclosed fenestron replacing the tail rotor, central tail and double vertical stabiliser on Airbus’s H145.
