Revolution 'N' JNA/MMA EPs
Revolution Trains has received first Engineering Prototype (EP) samples of its new 'N' gauge JNA/MMA bogie box wagons for checking.
More than 900 of these large bogie box wagons are in use across the rail network, with more on order.
Revolution Trains' newly-tooled models will replicate the variations between builds including nine-rib and 11-rib bodysides, while further detail differences such as small bodyside doors (or not) and body or bogie mounted brake equipment will also be incorporated within the tooling suite.
Assessment of the samples has highlighted a few small modifications required before the models edge closer to production, with decorated samples now expected during March/April.
Pre-orders are being taken now with a choice of different running numbers offered across contemporary colour schemes including DB red, Ermewa, Ermewa/Tarmac, Mendip Rail silver, VTG silver, VTG dark blue, VTG mid blue, GBRf dark blue, Cappagh blue and Touax oxide red. An end of train option for most colour schemes is also available featuring a JNA/MMA bogie box wagon with flashing tail lamp hidden beneath a false plastic floor in the base.
Pre-order prices are set at £34 for standard models and £38 for tail-lamp fitted wagons. For those not wishing to pre-order, it is anticipated that some examples will be available through Revolution Trains' stockists once pre-orders have been fulfilled.
