Revolution Trains (RT) has unveiled plans to offer its first ‘O’ gauge model, a limited edition run of Class 37/4 37405 in Direct Rail Services (DRS) ‘Compass’ livery.
Acquired by DRS in 2011, 37405 remains active in the operational fleet, having worked passenger and freight services including test trains, empty stock moves and nuclear flasks since re-entering service in 2013.
Representing a first for RT, the Class 37/4 has been commissioned from Heljan and will enable the company to assess demand in the ‘O’ gauge market and is being produced under licence from DRS.
As with Heljan’s previously released ‘O’ gauge Class 37/4s, the models feature two five-pole motors, rotating roof fan, directional lighting, detailed cab interiors and more, while the livery will be reproduced to artwork researched and generated by Revolution Trains.
Priced at £599 (including postage), pre-orders are being taken now. Delivery is anticipated during December 2020/January 2021.
