Revolution Trains raises £3,840 for charity

Revolution Trains has donated £3,840 to the Railway Children charity, during a special ceremony at Avanti West Coast’s Crewe railway station.

Revolution Trains presented the Railway Children charity with a check for £3,830.

The Railway Children charity helps vulnerable children who find themselves alone on the rail network. The charity assists railway staff, the police and other workers in identifying vulnerable young people and provides education on how to help them in the most effective and safe way.

The manufacturer raised the money through a charity five-a-side tournament they played in (which also included an Avanti West Coast team) and from a raffle where several ‘N’ gauge prizes were awarded including an ‘N’ gauge class 92 Co-Co electric, four pack of car carriers and a Network Southeast Class 321 Electric Multiple Unit.

Revolution Trains’ Ben Ando said: “Revolution is always looking for ways we can partner our friends in the railway industry in supporting the charities they promote and we are delighted that the proceeds of our raffle, along with the money raised by the five-a-side football tournament we played in, will benefit such a worthy cause.“

Revolution Trains will continue to support charities in a similar manner and is planning more events with some of their harder to find and sold out ‘OO’ models in 2024.
