Models of any era can make suitable restoration projects. In some cases all you might want to do is to get back to how things originally were before fate intervened. Then again, as here, it could be fun to change names and numbers, or add other individual touches.

IN THE LAST ISSUE (HM143) we looked at how to cope with badly painted or weathered models acquired on the second-hand market. If you’re on a budget – who isn’t, these days? – and you don’t mind doing a bit of work then this can be a very satisfying way of expanding your fleet and saving yourself a bit of cash.
