The 1/72 boxing of Special Hobby’s Mirage F1EQ/ED has been re-released, offering modellers cool options for Middle Eastern and North African airframes.
Special Hobby’s Mirage F1 became immediately became the best on the market when it debuted in 2016. Its F1EQ/ED boxing was released two years later and then in 2021… and it’s this product (SH72386) that's resurfaced again. If you’re new to the subject, the F1s signified a major leap in Special Hobby design and manufacture, essentially offering mass-production quality rather than limited-run (and the fit issues this format sometimes suffers).
Above: The large 'Irakien' fuel tank is supplied for one Iraqi airframe... but it can always be employed on French Air Force F1CR/CT builds if desired.
The F1EQ/ED package mainly provides generic runners seen in all Special Hobby boxings, but also cast resin extras including a Nord/Aérospatiale Exocet anti-ship missile with individual fins and pylon, plus antenna fairings and a replacement aerial refuelling probe tip. Several small photo-etched brass details are supplied too (antennas and their mounts).
