As CHRIS CLIFFORD details, the Czech company has adapted its previous 1/72 P.108A anti-ship aircraft to portray the P.108B heavy bomber.
Piaggio’s P.108 was notable as the Regia Aeronautica’s (RA – Italian Air Force’s) only four-engined bomber, but also the type that killed Bruno Mussolini… son of Italian fascist dictator Benito. Special Hobby first issued a Piaggio P.108B as II. Serie airframe back in 2005, and the following year released its P.108A. Now the tooling has been tweaked to offer a new kit (SH 72406, branded ‘Quadrimotore’), which portrays the P.108B heavy bomber.
