INSTRUCTION TO IMMELMANNS
It's good to see the release of subjects that haven’t previously received attention from model companies, making Special Hobby’s newly tooled 1/72 SIAI- Marchetti SF-260 trainer aircraft most welcome.
This initial boxing provides parts for military SF-260M/AM/W trainer variants (SH 72418), with markings for Belgian, Italian and Irish airframes. There are four styrene runners, at least one of which will be common to all versions, as it provides optional instrument panels (three) and engine cowlings (two), along with standard items, such as rudder pedals and undercarriage. In line with many of the firm’s recent offerings, surface detail is excellent, with fine engraved panel lines; locating pins are small, yet more than sufficient to ensure proper alignment. The one-piece wings mean setting the dihedral isn’t an issue and arguably the toughest decision will be which scheme to use.
An upcoming release (SH72433) will also cover military versions; further details are available via: www.specialhobby.eu
