Hornby's new collection of TT:120 scale 45ton TTA tankers are in stock now at the Key Model World Shop.
The TTA tankers are the first post-steam era goods wagons to be released by Hornby for TT:120 scale and make an ideal partner to its Class 08 diesel shunter and forthcoming Class 50 and 66 diesels.
One of the most widespread types of tanker to run on Britain’s railways, the TTA forms an exciting addition to Hornby’s growing range of 'TT:120' freight wagons. The TTA was designed in the 1960s to supersede ageing types of tank wagons and constituted a standardised design that would continue in frontline service into the mid-2000s. Constructed to transport a range of mainly flammable types of liquid, the TTA continued the trend of tankers being owned and run for independent companies by British Rail and could often be seen in very short or long block trains.
The new TTA tankers are available in Esso (TT6022), Total (TT6023) and BP (TT6024) colour schemes with a choice of early single ladder wagons and later twin ladder vehicles. All have turned metal wheels, turned metal buffers and standard 'TT:120' scale couplings clipped into NEM pockets.
The RRP per wagon is £24.49 and they are available from the Key Model World Shop for £22.99 each.
