Above: These Valiant B(PR).1s, WP221 and ‘223, wear High Speed Silver finish and are most likely from 543 Squadron while at Gaydon or Wyton. The nose panelling was black and grey. Of note are the prominent wing fences – and vortex generators on the horizontal stabilisers.
