VIDEO: Heljan revamped
Class 37/0 for 'O' gauge
Heljan has revamped its 2008 released 'O' gauge Class 37/0 for a new lease of life. Watch two of the releases in action on our 'O' gauge test track in this video feature.
The popular split headcode Class 37/0 is back for 'O' gauge as Heljan is re-releasing its original 2008 7mm scale model with new improvements in August. Highlights of the revived model include LED lighting, DCC friendly colour-coded wiring, modified fuel tanks and new colour schemes.
The specification follows the standard route for Heljan's high-powered 'O' gauge diesels. This includes twin five-pole motors with large brass flywheels for smooth running, rotating roof fan powered by a separate motor, fully detailed bufferbeam, a heavy die-cast chassis, sprung buffers and sprung working screw link couplings.
Five versions are being released covering BR green, BR green with small yellow warning panels, BR green with full yellow ends, BR blue and, for the first time on the model, BR 'large logo' blue. The latter is finished as Tinsley depots 37116 with its unofficial painted Comet nameplates and featured a weathered finish too.
In this video we showcase the green with full yellow ends unnumbered version and 37116 in action on our 'O' gauge test track at the head of era specific trains. Watch them now here and read our full review of the Class 37/0 by logging in to KeyModelWorld.
