The Bulleid air-smoothed 'Pacifics' had a distinctive sound with their three-cylinder layout and a clear 'middle c' whistle sound.
In this sound installation guide we are showing a simple way to add digital sound to the Hornby 'OO' gauge air-smoothed 'Merchant Navy' with an upgrade to the speaker over the factory designed space which encourages the use of a standard 28mm round speaker.
