The Hornby Hobbies portfolio has grown exponentially since the dawn of the millennium with the acquisition of European railway brands, Airfix, Humbrol and Corgi all of which have joined Hornby and Scalextric to create one of the strongest hobby sector groups in the world.

MY FIRST ENCOUNTER with a Hornby product was Christmas morning aged five. My parents had saved enough money to afford to buy me a train set and quietly in the garage they and my grandparents had carefully built a few circles of track and some scenery on a sheet of chipboard. Once asleep they had carried it into the house – only to discover it would not go through our front door!
