A jaw-dropping amount of detail adorns Zoukei-Mura’s all-new 1/32 Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-4, reviewed here by CHRIS CLIFFORD.

Japanese boutique kit manufacturer Zoukei-Mura has set incredible benchmarks for detail and finesse with all its 1/32 Super Wing Series kits. Its latest (SWS No 21) replicates Focke-Wulf’s iconic Fw 190A-4 fighter… the initial, limited boxing also offering a resin (standing) pilot figure. All the firm’s signature high-detail moulding is present, providing a wealth of fine features and alternative equipment fits. All this means a highly modular kit, though, with few large components. The A-4’s main production format is represented here, therefore the forward fuselage has slim, rectangular engine cooling doors rather than open slits with curved ends as on the A-2/A-3… which are also actually supplied, signifying another future release. The A-4 doors can be posed open or closed.
