O gauge

'O' gauge - or 7mm scale - model railways are amongst the largest available in the British market which run on 32mm gauge track. Ready-to-run locomotives, carriages and wagons are produced by Dapol, Heljan and Lionheart Trains in the main while there are also high end hand built brass models available from the likes of 55H, Masterpiece Models and Lee Marsh Models. 'O' gauge has a large supporting cast of specialist kit and accessory makers while a range of track components is available off-the-shelf from Peco with both flatbottom and bullhead rail profiles. Heljan shows latest Class 37/4s for 'O'

Heljan Class 17 revealed for 'O'

Heljan has revealed the first factory decorated sample of its new 'O' gauge Class 17 Bo-Bo Type 1 diesel. Production versions are expected to arrive in the shops before the end of 2020.

Dapol reveals Stroudley carriage samples

A new collection of ‘O’ gauge four-wheel Stroudley carriages are set to be released in the fourth quarter of 2020 by Dapol. The new line up will be manufacturered in the UK at Dapol’s factory in Chirk and were originally announced at the Dapol Collectors Club open day in 2018.
