Accurascale acquires Hattons Originals tooling

Accurascale has confirmed that it has acquired the Hattons Originals tooling for the ‘OO’ gauge ‘Warwell’ military flat wagon, South Eastern & Chatham Railway (SECR) ‘P’ Class 0-6-0T and the Andrew Barclay 0-4-0ST.

Each of these ‘OO’ gauge models will be integrated within the Accurascale range and the company will be overseeing the production of the batches of models already in development.

All three models are currently at different stages of production with the ‘Warwell’ wagon now complete and due to leave the factory in China later this month, following Chinese New Year. Priced at £25 each, delivery is expected during April. Accurascale has also confirmed that Trains4U of Peterborough’s limited edition ‘Warwells’ will also arrive with this batch as planned.

The next batch of ‘OO’ gauge Andrew Barclay 0-4-0STs is currently at the decoration stage, with production scheduled to commence soon after the Chinese New Year. Priced at £99.95 each, delivery is anticipated during late 2024.

Also at a similar stage are the SECR ‘P’ Class 0-6-0Ts with production slated to begin after the Chinese New Year celebrations. It is expected that these locomotives will arrive after the Andrew Barclay 0-4-0STs have been delivered. These too will be priced at £99.95 each.

Customers who initially placed pre-orders with Hattons will be contacted by email asking if the pre-order can be moved to Accurascale. If there is no response within two weeks, the pre-order will be cancelled.

Due to production for these models being at an advanced stage, Accurascale has stated that further variants cannot be added to this production run. The specification for all models will remain the same as originally announced by Hattons and they will all be exclusively available from the Accurascale website.

Further Hattons Originals tooling has also been acquired by Accurascale and updates concerning this is expected to be revealed later in the year.
