Above: The latest kit to join the Key Model World Shop exclusive collection by PJM Models is based on the current structure at Helpston on the East Coast Main Line.

The new kit is based on the extended version of Helpston signalbox as it is today – it was expanded in 1923 by the LNER and has since received modifications including changes to the toilet roof shape and new modern glazing at the road end.

Above and below: The new GNR laser-cut signalbox kit is supplied unpainted. It requires glue paint and basic tools (craft knife, tweezers and a sanding stick) to complete it.

The 'OO' gauge kit models the signalbox with the pitched roof over the toilet, but includes an optional blanking panel to position in front of the outer walkway which is thought to have been added during electrification.

The laser-cut kit contains plywood and MDF parts together with clear laser-cut glazing as well as roofing tiles. The total size of the building is 164mm x 72mm in ‘OO’ scale and it is available to buy from the Key Model World Shop now for £32.99.
