Footplate Models has taken delivery of the revised Flangeway ‘OO’ gauge ‘Salmon’ engineers’ bogie rail wagon, following retooling of the model to the correct 60ft scale length.
With replacement models already sent to customers who had held on to the original under-scale models, limited numbers of each wagon are due to be released for general sale on Saturday June 4 at 9.00am.
Footplate Models’ Richard Barnett said, “We are pleased that we have been able to work with our partner, Dapol, to bring about a resolution to the issues that appeared in 2020. It has been a long journey; however, we are happy now to release the item to the true scale length following rectification.”
The remainder of the newly-tooled ‘Salmons’ will be available in three colour schemes – Engineers’ olive green, Engineers’ yellow and Engineers’ black.
Prices have been held at the pre-pandemic price of £49.95 each.
