Further decorated samples of Accurascale’s newly-tooled ‘OO’ gauge GWR/BR Siphon G vans have arrived for assessment by the company’s development team.
These latest samples differ over previous engineering prototype examples as they feature slightly lowered end gangways and retooled bodyside planking arrangement.
Further minor tweaks will be made before production gets under way shortly, including application of a matt – rather than satin – finish to the final models, to better represent the appearance of wooden bodied vehicles.
16 different 'OO' gauge Siphon G models are planned for the initial production run ranging from GWR brown to BR rail blue, including an Accurascale website exclusive model in BR Enparts departmental olive green (HM183).
The specification includes a wealth of separately fitted detailing including handrails, cabling, footsteps, buffer beam pipework, sprung metal buffers and fully-detailed underframe.
Prices are set at £54.95 each, with delivery anticipated in late 2022/early 2023.
