Class 91 first sample debuts
Hornby’s all-new ‘OO’ gauge BR Class 91 Bo-Bo electric has progressed to the Engineering Prototype (EP) stage of the production process. This first running sample is currently undergoing evaluation.
Four models are planned as 91002 Durham Cathedral in InterCity Swallow colours (Cat No. R3890), 91118 The Fusiliers in LNER livery (R3891), 91117 Cancer Research UK in GNER blue (R3893) and 91111 For the Fallen in its special commemorative livery scheme. The specification includes a five-pole motor, 8-pin Digital Command Control (DCC) decoder socket, space for a digital speaker, sprung pantograph, metal buffers and directional lighting.
Priced at £179.99 per locomotive, delivery is due in Spring 2021.
