Ellis Clark shows ‘Black Five’ CAD drawings

Ellis Clark Trains has received the first CAD drawings for its new ready-to-run ‘O’ gauge Stanier ‘Black Five’ 4-6-0. The model is being produced by Darstaed for Ellis Clark Trains and the CAD drawings are currently being evaluated for corrections.

The 7mm finescale ‘Black Five’ was announced by Ellis Clark at the Gauge O Guild exhibition in Telford in September. It is priced at £949 DCC ready and £1,199 for a DCC sound model with synchronised smoke. Features include die-cast construction, ABC Helical gearbox, compensated axles, removable working lamps, firebox glow and is DCC ready. The digital versions are set to feature a Zimo MX699 decoder, speaker in the locomotive and an exclusive sound project with more than 20 functions.

A new limited edition of 50 pieces has also been added to the planned list of ‘Black Fives’. It will model 45428 in BR lined black as illustrated in the painting by Alan Gunston used by Ellis Clark to launch the project. Each model will come with a signed print of the painting.

Prices are £999 DCC ready and £1,249 DCC sound fitted.
