FULL-ON WARRIOR PACKAGE FROM SPECIAL HOBBY
Czech firm Special Hobby has created an all-encompassing product by boxing two of its recent 1/72 SF-260 Warrior kits with a stunning reference book, tape masks, resin/PE parts and new decals.
The SF-260 kit from Special Hobby, first issued in 2020, secured much praise for its finely moulded detail, but here in set SH72451, it gets a boost via one photo-etched brass fret carrying gun sight mounts and antennas, and one set of resin components replicating rocket pods and their pylons, and exhausts. Also supplied is a set of kabuki tape masks for both (early and late) cockpit glazing.
And for the true detail-hounds, there is also a splendid 90-page reference book, SIAI Marchetti SF-26 Flying with Air Forces around the World, from the popular Duke Hawkins series of softbacks. This ‘unpeels’ the aircraft to an impressive degree through myriad close-up photos, as well as studies of whole aircraft and their wildly differing colour schemes.
