Brassmasters adds Hornby ‘Prairie’ chassis kit

A new finescale EasiChas kit to convert the Hornby ‘Large Prairie’ to 'EM’ and ‘P4’ gauge has been created by Brassmasters.

Brassmasters has introduced a new EasiChas kit to upgrade the Hornby GWR ‘5101’/’61XX’ 2-6-2T model to produce a fully sprung 4mm scale locomotive for ‘EM’ (18mm) or ‘P4’ (18.83mm) gauge track.

Etched nickel silver is used for the chassis components and the kit includes bearings. Wheelsets are supplied by the builder.

The chassis design uses fold-up frames which fit around the existing chassis block to allow the original Hornby motor and gearbox to be used. Replacement pony and trailing truck assemblies are included together with jointed coupling rods, new brake rigging and etched metal brake blocks and hangers.

The kit is produced in etched nickel silver and comes with a set of brass bearings. Wheelsets are required to complete the chassis.
