The 1950s and 1960s was a time of massive transition for the Royal Air Force, both from the turnover of aircraft and a shift from natural metal finish to camouflage schemes. The third in Air-Craft’s history series takes a second look at this timeframe, this time focussing purely on jet fighter types operated by UK-based RAF squadrons (the first part featured the Spitfire, Hornet, Mosquito and Meteor): the Hunter, Javelin, Sabre, Swift, Vampire and Venom.
