LOCOMOTIVES OF THE London and North Eastern Railway (LNER) and its pre-grouping predecessors have become popular subjects for ready-to-run models in ‘OO’ gauge. Naturally the likes of the famous streamlined Gresley ‘A4’ and renowned ‘A3’ class ‘Pacifics’ have long been popular choices, but it is only in recent years that we have started to see more of the day-to-day locomotives come through including 0-6-0s, 2-8-0s and the tank engines.
