CMK’s 1/48 Zetor 25 tractor kit is now available as a military version – with a towbar for MiG-15 and -17 aircraft – as CHRIS CLIFFORD reveals.
Last year, Special Hobby sub-brand CMK delighted farm machinery enthusiasts with its 1/48 scale civilian Zetor 25 tractor, formed almost entirely from resin parts. Now aircraft modellers have their own associated version, which can be posed with a MiG-15 or MiG-17 jet, courtesy of the provided towbar.
Founded in 1946 in what was then Czechoslovakia, Zetor manufactured many different agricultural vehicles (it still does) – and several have already been replicated in scale form. These include SKP Model’s 1/35 Zetor 25/25A. The new 1/48 boxing from CMK, though, is ideal for both individual display or diorama employment… the latter ripe for a Czech (or Soviet Bloc) airfield scene involving the aforementioned Mikoyan-Gurevich aircraft.
