Although arguably the best Bf 109 variant, the F-series has received comparatively little attention from model manufacturers. This Revell kit is a re-boxing of ICM’s excellent 1/72 offering. There are just three styrene runners, but clever design means there’s a well-appointed cockpit and convincing undercarriage bays, while the exterior features finely engraved panel lines and inspection hatches. Choices include with/without pilot and raised/lowered undercarriage, but no stand is provided. The decals appear slightly thick and with a satin carrier film, so there may be silvering issues, but the colours are well defined. A single markings scheme is included, for an earlywar airframe in transitional RLM 02/71/65 camouflage:
