Based on the GWR’s Diagram E140 prototypes introduced in 1930, Rapido Trains’ all-new ‘OO’ gauge models will be offered in a selection of colour schemes including iterations of GWR chocolate and cream, GWR wartime brown, BR crimson, BR maroon and BR chocolate and cream colour schemes, with variations according to era. A GWR chocolate and cream pairing is also planned as a limited edition twin-coach set for Derails of Coleford. This pairing will not feature regional markings, to differentiate them from the main range examples.

Each model will feature extensive detailing inside and out, flicker-free interior illumination, etched luggage racks, correct interior detailing for first and third class compartments and detailed guard’s compartment. In addition, the new coaches will also include a selection of open droplight windows for customer fitment – the factory-fitted glazing will be easily removable for those wishing to replicate this.
